
Fire, Shelter and Water
This course has been designed to teach you everything you need to know about the most important priorities for survival in a wilderness or survival situation, which are fire, shelter and water.
The majority of the course will be given over to fire lighting techniques where we will examine the science of fire, ignition sources (both ancient and modern including fire by friction), natural and man-made tinders, kindling sourcing and preparation, fire lays, fire establishment, maintenance, moderation and application.
After lunch we will go on to examine the location and construction of both man-made and natural shelters, this will be followed by studying water sourcing, filtration and purification. We will conclude the course with the water sourcing challenge.

Minimum age: 9 years old (all minors must be accompanied by an adult)
