Woodland Wednesdays Adult Evening Club
My vision for Woodland Wednesdays is a weekly 'hump day' gathering that is more of a relaxed social event rather than a structured course with a set itinerary, for that reason we are not setting one! I would like to create a friendly, all inclusive community of like minded people who can skill share and also potentially support one another.

We would like the content of the evenings to be participant led depending on the skills that people would like to learn or develop and over the weeks we will create a program of activities that we will schedule for future weeks. These could include core bushcraft skills such as fire, fire by friction, shelter craft, cutting techniques, axe proficiency, foraging, natural cordage, game prep, etc but could also include more craft based projects such as willow weaving, greenwood working (spoon carving, stool making, survival traps), charcoal burning, coppicing, hedge laying, etc. We would like our guests to use the woods as their personal playground to explore, experiment and have an excuse to practice and develop new and existing skills.

Of course if you would like to use the time to just sit, relax and unwind around the fire with a warm drink and chat with others then that is just as valuable. Every week we will have the kettle on and the camp cooking equipment on hand so people are very welcome to bring some food to cook up for dinner.

We are planning to commence running the club from May onwards from 6pm to 9pm to make use of the evening daylight and will run throughout the Summer and Autumn, they may stop during the winter months or they may continue through depending on how hardy people are feeling!

We have created a Facebook group called 'Woodland Wednesdays @ Seal Brook Woodland School' which you are welcome to join to stay up to date on developments.
Cost: £10 per week or 12 weeks for £8 a week
Dates: May onwards in 2025
Times: 6pm till 9pm
